How is the course delivered?

Training is delivered via online learning and vocational placement.

Course Duration: This course is designed to be completed up to 72 weeks (excluding holidays).

Expected Study Hours: Typical learners are expected to spend 1747 hours of study (excluding holidays) depending on existing knowledge, skills, and experience.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification.

However, for entry into Prosper Training, students must:

  • Be assessed as having Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills that meet the required Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) standards for Level 2
  • Have a Working With Children Check (WWCC)*
  • Have evidence of flu vaccination**

**This may be required to undertake practical placement in some centres.

Students will need to prepare/ensure access to:

  • Computer with Internet, email access, and a working web browser
  • Installed software: MS Word, Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Personal protective equipment:
      • o disposable gloves
      • o face mask
      • o apron
      • o hair net/cap
  • Video recording equipment, e.g. smartphone or a camera with video recording capabilities
  • At least four (4) volunteers to participate in various role play activities
  • A safe and suitable environment for conducting role plays

What are the course fees?

The CHC30121 course is available for only $2,999.00.

Initial deposit of $1,500.00 upon enrolment + remaining balance to be paid 11 monthly instalments of $136.30.

Learners may also consider additional training to complement their skills in working in childcare with courses/units such as:

  • CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
  • CHC50221 Diploma of School Age Education and Care*

Is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) available?

Prosper Training has a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process in place which is discussed in details in the RTO’s Recognition Policy and Procedure.

Prospective students are informed of the RPL Policy and procedures prior  to enrolment in the course and through a variety of means, including pre-enrolment interview, enrolment form, student handbook, and website.
